LYNX

OK, well, there is definitely a debate on the 'lynx' issue!  A TRUE lynx is a dilute chocolate chestnut (A-bbC-ddE-), but for the most part, a dilute fawn/orange is recognized as a lynx in the lops (A-B-C-ddee).   The doe on the left is registered a lynx, but is not a dilute chocolate chestnut, but a dilute fawn/orange.  The doe on the right
IS a TRUE lynx.  Someday I will get pics of the two colors side by side!

Vail's Lops Homepage
A lot of people have asked me at shows:
"What is the difference between a 'chestnut'
and a 'chocolate chestnut' " ???  Well, to the
right is a picture of a chestnut agouti (Vail's Meg)
next to a chocolate chestnut (Vail's Missy).
The differences between the two are pretty
evident when they are side by side.
